A teenager was charged with cyber bullying last week after authorities were alerted about an alleged comment he made on Facebook and subsequent verbal comments he made to students, the authorities said.

Caleb Coleman, 18, of 416 Breazeale St., was charged with the felony after he posted a comment on Facebook believed to be directed toward Philadelphia High School and later made verbal comments to students which included threats toward the school, Chief of Police Grant Myers said.

School officials and parents notified the police department of the Facebook post, voicing concerns, he said.

After further investigation which included statements from students, Coleman was charged with cyber bullying, Myers said.

Coleman, a senior, was released on $10,000 bond.
