The first Community Cleanup drive will be this Saturday and will target the gateways into Philadelphia.

Groups and interested parties are asked to meet at the Depot starting at 8 a.m.

“We are asking for groups and anyone who would be interested in helping to come,” said Tim Moore of the CDP Main Street program. “We already have two or three teams from Neshoba Central, the Rotary Club and local businesses who have said they will be there.”

There have been a couple of meetings about the cleanup drive.

“There appears to be a lot of interest in cleaning up the town,” Moore said. “We have 10 areas designated for teams to work in along the major throughways. We hope to put up a lot of trash on Saturday.”

Moore said the drive would conclude around noon.
