A weekend burglary at a mobile home on south Lewis Avenue remains under investigation by police.

Investigator Fredesz Moore said on Friday, April 26 around 5 p.m. the owner of a residence at Smith Trailer Park on South Lewis Avenue reported that a 32-inch television had been taken from his residence.

Entry was gained after someone kicked in the back door, the authorities said.

Similar burglaries, which occurred earlier in the city, also remain under investigation.

On Sunday, April 21, a pair of house burglaries were reported, one on Ivy Street and the other on Range Avenue.

In both of those incidents, the front door was kicked in and the home was ransacked. A Dell laptop was taken from one home.

Moore said there was a "great possibility" the cases were related.

Police Chief Bill Cox added that while no arrests have been made, they were "still looking. We have people we're looking at," he said.
