A Neshoba County man was arrested after a stakeout by the Sheriff's Department and charged with a burglary.

Robert Haskins, 37, of 10691 Road 761, was charged with the April 15 burglary of a residence on Road 325, Sheriff Tommy Waddell said.

Haskins is charged with entering a mobile home in the Linwood community and taking several items including an air conditioner, auto parts and a stainless steel sink.

Waddell said after the initial burglary Haskins hid the stolen items in the nearby woods.

"The owner called us and I went out and after looking we found the items," he said.

Surveillance was set up around the items, Waddell added, with the hope that the thief would return to retrieve them.

On Sunday, the owner called the Sheriff and said the items had been moved again.

The sheriff said he returned to the home and was able to again locate the items.

Surveillance was reestablished and Haskins returned later that day. He was arrested and charged with burglary.

"All of the items were recovered," Waddell said.

Haskins remains in the Neshoba County Jail.
