A Philadelphia man received a five-year suspended sentence last week in Circuit Court after changing his plea to guilty.
Kendrell Shintay Peden, 27, of 399 Clyde Ave., pleaded guilty to sale of cocaine.
Peden was sentenced to five years in prison and fined $1,500. The sentence was suspended and Peden was placed on supervised probation for five years. He was also ordered to be evaluated for any need for alcohol and drug treatment and therapy at his choice of facility and at his own expense.
A jury had began deliberation in Peden's case but had not reached a verdict when he changed his plea.
