A Philadelphia man was arrested on a federal warrant Monday at his home on Mississippi 16 east where he had barricaded himself in a back bedroom, the authorities said.

Dijon J. Seales, 28, of  13321 Highway 16 east, who lost a physical fight with federal marshals Monday morning, is being held in the Madison County Jail on a federal probation violation for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, said Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics Director John Dowdy.

Marshals seized a felony quantity of methamphetamine, almost 18 grams, as well as a stolen rifle and a stolen pistol in conjunction with Seales’ arrest, Director Dowdy said.

Assisting the U.S. Marshals Service were the MBN, Hinds County and Madison County sheriffs’ offices and Ridgeland Police Department.
