Trinity Baptist Church Anniversary
Trinity Baptist Church will be celebrating our 50th anniversary on Sunday, May 5. We look forward to visiting with old friends and families. Pre-K Program Registration
The Neshoba County School District Pre-Kindergarten Program is located the at the Neshoba Count Parent Resource Center Building at Valley View. If you wish for your 4-year old child to be tested for the pre-K program, come to the Parent Resource Center for registration from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m on May 1-15. It is not necessary for your child to be present on the day of registration. If all registration materials are presented, an appointment will be assigned for your child to be screened for placement. Adult Softball League
The Philadelphia Sportsman Club will again sponsor the men and women's softball league at Westside Park. Starting date is May 20. The entry fee of $150 per team and must be paid by May 6. Class of 1973 Reunion
The Philadelphia High School Class of 1973 will be having our 40th reunion, the weekend of Oct. 18-20 (PHS 2013 Homecoming). Neshoba Central High School Class of 73
Neshoba Central High School Class of 73 will be having their class reunion May 4 at the Neshoba County Shriners Club on Highway 15 south. Family time (bring kids and grandkids) at 3pm. Reunion starts at 6pm, but the earlier you come, the more time we have to visit! See you there!
Bishop Chris Chamberlin and the Greater Love Church Family will be celebrating their 8 year anniversary starting May 2-5. Services will start on 2nd & 3rd at 6 p.m. and the guest speakers will be Evangelist Mavis Boyd and Pastor Diane Brown from God Cares Ministry on Thursday and Pastor Geneva Blunt of Shield of Faith Church and Elder Stan Jones of Jerusalem Temple Church on Friday. The Youth Jamboree on Saturday will also start at 6 p.m. The Bishop's Anniversary will be Sunday the 5th and will begin at 2pm. The guest speaker will be Bishop Darnell Hines from Columbus, Ohio. Dinner will be served after service.
The Philadelphia Elementary School PTO is planning a uniform rummage sale for Saturday, May 4. The sale will be held in the Philadelphia Elementary school gym from 8 a.m. through 12 p.m. on May 4.
This will be open to parents of our school district. Our hope is to provide the opportunity for parents to purchase uniforms for their children. Please send your gently used uniforms to the elementary school office as soon as possible.
We are asking for the following items: coats, belts, shoes, shirts, pants, skirts, and jumpers.

First Baptist Church of Union will have a fundraiser to fund our Boy Scouts program. All funds raised by this event will go to fund our local scouting program. ECCC Offers 'HVAC Enhancement' Class In Philadelphia
Evening instruction in the maintenance and repair of HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) systems is being offered at the East Central Community College Productivity Enhancement Lab located at the Philadelphia/Neshoba County Career-Technical Center. Classes will be held on eight consecutive Tuesdays beginning on May 7, 2013 from 6 to 9 p.m. Paul Evans, Advanced Skills Trainer, will serve as instructor. Cost of the class is $150. Annual Ladies Retreat
The Annual Ladies Retreat at the Pentecostal Apostolic Church in Philadelphia is scheduled for Friday, May 3 and Saturday, May 4. ECCC Collegians Concert
The East Central Community College Collegians will present their spring semester concert at 7 p.m. Saturday, May 4, 2013, in Huff Auditorium on the Decatur campus. Carson, who is continuing his battle with cancer.
