Break Every Chain Woman's Conference
Break Every Chain is a free woman's conference dedicated to inspire, encourage, and empower woman to help one another break the chains in life that prevent a closer relationship with the Lord. It will be held Saturday, March 8 at 6 p.m. in the Carthage Coliseum. Seating begins at 4:45 p.m. Speakers include Mrs. Thelma Wells and Mrs. Robbie Watson. Music will be by Surrender. It is for all denominations and all women.

The Blackwood Brothers will be in concert on Saturday, March 29 at 6 p.m. at Ackerman Baptist Church. A love offering will be received.
The regularly scheduled meeting of the Neshoba County School Board for March has been changed from March 10 to March 20 at 5 p.m. in the Board of Supervisors Conference Room.
Parents, do your children need help with homework? Tutors are available on Mondays at the Booker T. Gym starting Monday, March 17 from 5-6 p.m.
This is for students in grades K-8 in subjects: reading/language arts and math.
Students will be tutored by retires teachers and/or volunteer teachers from our school districts, as well as administrators and parents from within the community.
All parents are responsible for their children getting to and from the gym.

Registration for Neshoba County Youth Football and Cheer
Neshoba County Youth Football and Cheer is offering early bird registration starting Feb. 28 and ending on July 12. Cheer registration will be 85 as opposed to $100. That includes a complete uniform. Five and 6-year-old tackle is $40 as opposed to $50 and includes the game jersey and pants. Seven to 12-year-old is $50 as opposed to $65 and includes the game jersey and pants. A live brith certificate must be presented.
Neshoba County Youth provides game jersey and game pants for all football season to be returned at the end of the season.
Neshoba County Youth Football also provides a lunch for every child that is a part of cheer and tackle. It also provides awards for each child at the end of the year during an awards banquet.

St. Patrick's Day
The Knights of Columbus Council #13471 will hold their third annual Saint Patrick's Day party on Saturday, March 15 at Holy Cross Catholic Church featuring authentic Irish food, Irish music, kids games and cake walks at no charge. Food concessions will be available for a small fee. The public is invited.
Miss Neshoba County Fair Interest
Interest meeting for the Miss Neshoba County Fair 2014 Pageant will be held at the Community Development Center (CDP) Sunday, March 23 at 2 p.m. Look forward to seeing you there.
Concert at First
Bruce and Lisa Wethey, concert Violinist and Flutist, will be at First Baptist Church Philadelphia this Sunday, March 9 during the 11 a.m. service and present a concert at 6 p.m. The public is invited. No tickets are required but everyone present will have the opportunity to share an offering for the Wethey's during the 6 p.m. concert.
Singing at Cedar Hill
Uncle Pug's Bluegrass Band will be in concert Saturday, March 15 at 6:30 p.m. at Cedar Hill Baptist Church in the Burnside Community of Neshoba County. A love offering will be taken. For more information call 601-656-7575.
Caregivers Support Group
The monthly Alzheimers Caregivers Support Group will be held March 10 at 5:30 p.m. The meeting will be held at East Philadelphia Baptist Church. All families and caregivers of persons with Alzheimers disease and other dementia are urged to attend.
Lighthouse Church of God invited everyone to their Spring Revival March 17-19. There will be a different speaker each night: Monday night, Bro. Sylvester Hampton of St. Paul Church in Philadelphia; Tuesday night, Bro. Calvin Waddy of Central C.O.G. in Jackson; and Wednesday night, Bro. Antonio Patterson of Kingdom Life Church in Kosciusko. Service will begin at 7 p.m. nightly. The Rev. Bettie McCarty is the pastor.

Car Wash/Yard Sale
A car wash and yard sale will be held March 8 at 6 a.m. until at The Buffalo Stop at 12290 Mississippi 21 south. We are asking that everyone come out and support our Mt. Enon Youth Department. We will be washing cars for free and are only asking for donations. So come out and support a great cause.
Barbecue Judging School
On Saturday, March 15, the Philadelphia Main Street Association will host a Barbecue Judging Class that will be taught and sanctioned by the Memphis Barbecue Network. This is the organization that sanctions the barbecue contest at the Philadelphia Ham Jam Arts Festival. The cost is $65. Registration applications and instructions can be located at www.mbnbbq.com.
