Live Crawfish Boil
On June 7, a fundraiser for missions will include a crawfish boil and live Christian music at the Farmer's Market on Highway 16 East in DeKalb. The cost is $25, and catfish will also be served. The fundraiser is from 4-8 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at Pilgrim's Foodliner and Gas-4-Less. The event is sponsored by DeKalb Christ Assembly and Living Bread Ministries.
Pastor Appreciation Revival
Romans 13:7 says, "Give tribute to whom tribute is sue..honor to whom honor is due." In accordance with God's word, the Word of God Church family on 231 Line Street invites you to come help us to give honor and tribute to our Pastor Dorothy Stribling, with God's word, praise and worship, singing and dancing, all in the name of Jesus on June 12-15. County Line School Reunion

Caregivers Support Group
The monthly Alzheimers Caregivers Support Group will meet June 9 at 5:30 p.m. The meeting will be held at East Philadelphia Baptist Church. All caregivers and family of persons with Alzheimers dementia are urged to attend.
Stuart Family Reunion
William Davis Stuart and Hannah Jones Stuart Family Reunion will be held June 8 at Old Pearl Valley Baptist Church in the Arlington Community. The Fellowship Hall will open at 10 a.m. Pot luck lunch will be served after the church service ends. Free Small Business Workshop
"How To Buy or Sell a Small Business" is the topic of a workshop being sponsored by East Central Community College's Small Business Development Center. This workshop will help to answer many questions, such as, how you value your business, how to market your business, how to negotiate with a potential buyer, and many more.

DRGHS meeting slated
The Dancing Rabbit Genealogical and Historical Society will meet in the Ramzy Room of the Carthage -Leake County Library at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, June 11. The speaker for the meeting will be Barry Evans, an instructor of Hinds Community College. He will present a program on odd historical sites and places around Mississippi. All members and prospective members are invited.
New County Line VBS
New County Line Baptist Church will have vacation bible school Mon. - Fri., June 9-13 from 8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.. This year's theme is Jungle Safari. The church is located on Hwy 427 near Edinburg.
Free Summer Meals
Youth Development and Education Center, Inc. is proud to announce that we will be sponsoring a Summer Food Service Program beginning June 2, thru Aug. 8, at Providence M.B. Church in Philadelphia. These nutritious meals are provided thru USDA guidelines. Breakfast will be served from 8-9:30 a.m. and Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday thru Friday. This is a summer meals program provided without charge to school age children up to age 18. There will be no discrimination based on race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability. This is a community based project scheduled from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. everyday which plans to also include educational and recreational activities of reading, tutoring and some physical activities. Volunteers have many opportunities with Sta-Home's hospice program, such as providing companionship to patients and caregivers, shopping for the families, light housekeeping, baking and cooking, filing and making phone calls. Currently we are looking for volunteers ages 16 years and older with a valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance. Louisville needs more volunteers
Samaritan's Purse is requesting more volunteers to assist with sawing downed trees and limbs and moving them for county cleanup efforts.
Volunteers should check in at the Samaritan's Purse tent at the Louisville Coliseum at 201 Ivy Ave. or go online to http://www.samaritanspurse.org/.
All volunteers are encouraged to check in at the coliseum, which will enable local officials to document volunteer work hours for essential compensation to the city and county from the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
Make safety a top priority by wearing protective clothing such as long pants, hard sole shoes, gloves, hats and safety goggles when appropriate. Drink plenty of water and take breaks to prevent accidents cause by exhaustion. Financial donations for disaster relief may be made through Renasant Bank or online at http://winstonstrong.com/.
Thomas Family Reunion
The descendants of William Washington and Lena Catherina Phillips Thomas, whose children are James Allen Thomas, William Melton Thomas, Albert Miles Thomas, John Marion Thomas, Mary Susan Thomas Brantley and Dock Kelly Thomas, will hold the Annual Thomas Family Reunion at the home place of William and Alpha Thomas at Madden on Saturday, June 7 at 11:30 a.m. We hope each of you will plan to come and bring a dish and your lawn chair. If you have any old pictures or other family information that you can share, this will be a great contribution in the preparation of a Thomas Family Book. LIBRARY SUMMER READING
Registration for the Neshoba County Public Library's "Fizz Boom Read" summer reading program will be Monday-Friday, June 2-6 with programs starting the following week. The program is for kids in preschool through sixth grade. Upon registration, each child will receive a packet with all program dates and information. For more information call 601-656-4911.
Calling all seniors to come out on Tuesday nights at 5 p.m. for some bingo fun at the Northside Park Senior Citizens building. There is only a $2 admission. Refreshments will be served. This is for ages 55 and up!

NESHOBA COUNTY Youth Football and Cheer
Neshoba County Youth Football and Cheer is offering early bird registration beginning Feb. 28 and ending July 12. Cheer registration will be $85 as opposed to $100; includes a complete uniform. Five and 6 year old tackle is $40 as opposed to $50. Seven to 12 year old tackle is $50 as opposed to $65. After the July 12 deadline all Early Bird prices will be void and registrants will be required to pay the regular in season fee. A copy of a live birth certificate is also required of each registrant. Neshoba County Youth provides game jersey and game pants for all football season which is to be returned at the end of the season. A lunch is also provided on in season away games for every child that is a part of cheer and tackle. There is an End of Year Banquet where awards for each child are provided during the banquet.
