Mt. Zion United Methodist Church will be holding their annual revival from Monday, Aug. 4 to Wednesday, Aug. 6. Herbert Baptist Church Revival

Meet and Greet
A meet and greet will be held Tuesday, July 22 at The Depot for Philadelphia Public Schools new Superintendent, Lisa Hull. Former Philadelphia Superintendent Robert Turnage will be honored at the event. The meet and greet will be from 5-7 p.m.
ECPDD Hearing for Aging Programs
The East Central Planning and Development District/Area Agency on Aging will hold a Public Hearing for Aging Programs on Wednesday, July 30 at 10 a.m. The meeting will be held in the Board Room of the East Central Planning and Development District office building located at 280 Commercial Drive in Newton.
The purpose of this hearing is to inform all interested persons and organizations about programs and services available for persons aged 60 and above in Clarke, Jasper, Kemper, Lauderdale, Leake, Neshoba, Newton, Scott, and Smith Counties.
The goals and objectives for Fiscal Years Oct. 1, 2014, through Sept. 30, 2017, will be discussed and an update of current year activities will be presented. Comments from the public will be welcomed.

Morning Star's Women of Virtues Ministry

Civil Legal Maters Workshop
Mississippi Center for Legal Services Corporation and Multi-County Community Service Agency will sponsor an educational workshop discussing civil legal matters on Monday, July 21 at 9 a.m., at Multi-County Community Service Agency, 109 West Third Street, Forest. Topics to be discussed are Social Security benefits, birth certificate issues, wills and trusts preparations. We will also discuss the eligibility requirements for various benefit programs.

Free Summer Meals
Youth Development and Education Center, Inc. is proud to announce that we will be sponsoring a Summer Food Service Program beginning June 2 through Aug. 8, at Providence M.B. Church in Philadelphia. These nutritious meals are provided thru USDA guidelines. Breakfast will be served from 8-9:30 a.m. and lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
This is a summer meals program provided without charge to school age children up to age 18. There will be no discrimination based on race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability.
This is a community based project scheduled from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. everyday which plans to also include educational and recreational activities of reading, tutoring and some physical activities. For more information contact Annette at 601-732-7390.
