Christmas is rapidly approaching. The countdown is on.

Churches throughout the community are busy preparing for their Christmas activities. Pastors have brought wonderful messages which focused on the Birth of Jesus.

Family members are looking forward to being with other family members as they prepare for their annual Christmas dinners. We wish all families a blessed day

Dan Nance was the guest speaker on Sunday at the Stallo United Methodist Church. His scripture was Genesis 1:1-11. His message was said to have been very informative. His wife Rita accompanied him.

Stallo United Methodist Church had their Christmas dinner on Saturday, Dec. 14. Much delicious food was prepared by Kim Massey and Ann Snovel.

The Mount Talley Baptist Church will have their Christmas program on Saturday Dec. 21 at 5 p.m. The Rev. Lavoid Kelly is the pastor.

The Mount Ary Baptist Church will have their Christmas Cantata on Sunday Dec. 22 along with morning worship services. A Christmas fellowship dinner will follow.

Our special pray request list for this week includes the family of Paul Bates, the family of Lee Lyons, Jr., the family of Walter Moore, Rev. and Mrs. Berlin Walker, Joyce Wells and others who are sick or shut-in.

Happy anniversary wishes go out to Lucy and Samuel Baxstrum whose wedding anniversary will be Dec. 22.

Happy anniversary wishes also go out to Willie and Christine Burnside whose 50th wedding anniversary will be Dec. 24.

Belated anniversary wishes go out to Johnny and Mae Carothers whose wedding anniversary was Dec. 17.

Happy birthday wishes go out to little Wesley Paul Snow. He is two years old today.

Happy birthday wishes go out to K.J. Moore whose birthday will be Dec. 22.

Happy birthday wishes go out to Christ Smith on Dec. 23, to Vickie Carter on Dec. 25, Adam Lyons on Dec. 27 and also to Chrissy Burnside on Dec. 30.
