The Town & Country Garden Club of Philadelphia met Friday Aug. 15 at the home of Rebecca Barnett.

Club president Margaret Thomas presided over the planning meeting to confirm details of an upcoming luncheon for prospective members, informative monthly programs, guest speakers and civic improvement projects.

The members are enthusiastic about the coming year and eager to start several gardening projects designed to benefit the whole community. The club's purpose is education, beautification, and conservation.

This year is especially significant to the Philadelphia club because it is their 30th anniversary having been organized back in 1984.

The Town & Country Garden Club of Philadelphia is a member of the Mississippi Garden Club, Inc.
