Services for Ms. Pearl Credle were held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, April 6, 2016, at John E. Stephens Chapel with the Rev. John E. Stephens and the Rev. O'Neal Parker officiating. Interment was at Hight Assembly of God Cemetery.
  • Services for Oliver Clark were held Wednesday, May 18, 2016, at 12:15 p.m. at Stephens Funeral Home in Union with  the Rev. Thomas Fortenberry officiating. Burial with Military Honors was held at the Mississippi Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Newton.  Stephens Funeral Home of Union is in charge of arrangements.

    Mr. Clark was a very loving husband and father. He was a veteran and served during the Korean War.
  • Services for D.L. Barton were held Sunday, May 22, 2016, at 3 p.m. from McClain-Hays Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Dan Howard and the Rev. Jimmy Townsend officiating. Burial followed in Good Hope Cemetery in Neshoba County. McClain-Hays Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

    Mr. Barton, 79, of Philadelphia, died Thursday, May 19, 2016, at Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian.
  • Services for Polly Sharp were held Friday, May 20, 2016, at 11 a.m. from McClain-Hays Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mike Sims and Dr. Owen Gordon officiating. Burial followed in Cedarlawn Cemetery. McClain-Hays Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

    Mrs. Sharp, 78, of Philadelphia, died Wednesday, May 18, 2016, at Rush Foundation Hospital in Meridian.
  • Services for Pat Buffington were held Monday, May 23, 2016, at 10 a.m. from Holy Rosary Catholic Church with Father Bob Goodyear officiating. Burial followed in Holy Rosary Cemetery.  McClain-Hays Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

     Ms. Buffington, 73, died Wednesday, May 18, 2016, at University of Mississippi Medical Center.
  • Services for Mr. Charles Earl “Charlie” Johnson will be held 2 p.m., Tuesday, May 24, 2016, at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Jason Martin officiating.

    Mr. Johnson, 67, of Decatur died Thursday, May 19, 2016, at his residence.
  • Funeral service for Jimmie J. Frazier will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 26, 2016, from Bogue Chitto Baptist Church with burial in the Bogue Chitto Community Cemetery. Visitation will begin at noon Tuesday, May 24, 2016, at the home of Arlene Morris, 109 Bogue Chitto Dr.  John E. Stephens Chapel Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements.
  • Services for J.D. Parker were held Thursday, May 12, 2016, at 11 a.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dwayne Barrett officiating. Burial followed in Indian Springs Cemetery in Winston County. McClain-Hays Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

    Mr. Parker, 36, of Noxapater, died Tuesday, May 10, 2016, at his home. He was born and reared in the Plattsburg community of Winston County.

    Mr. Parker attended Carthage High School. He loved his family, especially his children. His hobbies included fishing, hunting and watching NASCAR, of which he was an avid fan.
  • Services for Joe Lewis Willis were held Friday, May 13, 2016, at 11 a.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Perry McCall officiating. Burial followed in Carolina Cemetery. McClain-Hays Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

    Mr. Willis, 84, of Philadelphia, died Tuesday, May 10, 2016, at his home. He was a native of the Longino community in Neshoba County.  He graduated from Philadelphia High School in 1949, where he excelled playing basketball.  He served in the U.S. Navy for four years and then returned to earn his B.S. degree in Industrial Engineering from Mississippi State University.  He retired from U.S. Motors where he worked for 35 years.  Mr. Willis was a member and deacon of Carolina Presbyterian Church.  He loved to farm, fish, hunt and spend time with his family and dogs.  He was also known as a good cook on his grill.
  • Services for Mrs. Glenda Stephens Thornton were held 1 p.m., Saturday, May 14, 2016, at John E. Stephens Chapel with the Rev. Kevin Vaughn and the Rev. David Fedrick officiating.

    Burial was in  Cedarlawn Cemetery.
  • Services for Jimmy Leland Morris will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, May 19, 2016, from Bogue Chitto Facility Building with the Rev. Doby Henry and Deacon Kendall Wallace officiating.  Burial will be in the Bogue Chitto Community Cemetery. John E. Stephens Chapel Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements.
