Services for Bennie Dennis were held Sunday, Aug. 17, 2014, at 2 p.m. from McClain-Hays Funeral Home Chapel.

Bro. Mike Skinner and Bro. Tommy Smith officiated.  Burial was in Remus Cemetery in Leake County.

McClain-Hays Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

 Mr. Dennis, 68, of Philadelphia, died Friday, Aug. 15, 2014, at Regency Hospital of Meridian.

 He was born and reared in Neshoba County where he made his home most of his life.

Mr. Dennis was Baptist by faith.  He was a retired truck driver. 

Survivors include his wife, Mary Ruth Dennis of Philadelphia; daughter, Shanda Hillman (Mike) of Philadelphia; son, Lee Dennis (Tonya) of Philadelphia; granddaughters, Leah Phillips (David), Gracie Hillman and Tori Hillman; grandsons, Dylan Skinner and Ethan Dennis; great-grandson, Luke Phillips; sisters, Sue Ward of Jackson, Maureen Kemp of Carthage and Rachel Posey of Bonifay, Fla.; and brother, E.J. Dennis of El Paso, Texas.

 Mr. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Barney and Estelle Dennis; sister, Jean Crimm; and brothers, Thomas Dennis, Wayne Dennis, Pete Dennis and Clayton Dennis.

Pallbearers were Ethan Dennis, Dylan Skinner, Kevin Kemp, Craig Kemp, Sherman Wales and Chad Gray.  Honorary pallbearers were Lonnie Rhodes, Fonzy Comans, Mack Lewis, Michael Germany, Bill Nicholson, James Stevens, Billy Spears, Dwight Hicks, Scotty Stevens and Larry Pinter.
