Services for Mr. Bobby McDaniel were held Saturday, Dec. 30, 2017, at 2 p.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Rev. Chris Young and Rev. Tom McCurley officiating.  Burial followed in Cooks Chapel Cemetery in Neshoba County.   McClain-Hays was in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. McDaniel, 78, of Philadelphia, died Wednesday, December 27, 2017, at Mississippi Care Center of DeKalb.

 He was a native of Neshoba County and longtime resident of Forestdale community.  He was a retired contract logger, land and timber buyer/ developer, and operated The Frame Factory with his wife, Carlotta.

 Mr. McDaniel was a member of Herbert Baptist Church and attended First United Methodist Church in Philadelphia.  He enjoyed the Thursday gatherings with the retired men’s group at the lake.

Survivors include his wife, Carlotta Burkes McDaniel of Philadelphia; daughter, Debbie Webb (David) of Ridgeland, Gaye Howard (Ben) of Pontotoc, son, Scotty McDaniel (Shirley) of Philadelphia; stepdaughters, Angie Threadgill (Bruce) of Philadelphia, Pam Breland (Steve) of Philadelphia, Suzie Skinner (Todd) of Enterprise, Tabby Goldman (Richie) of Philadelphia; stepson, Jeff Burkes (Jennifer) of Gulfport; 17 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Clifford (Karen) McDaniel of Philadelphia; numerous nieces, nephews and their families.  

Mr. McDaniel was preceded in death by wife, Geraldine Madison McDaniel; parents, Rudolph and Birda McDaniel; granddaughter, Claudia Burkes; and sister, Margie McDaniel.

 Pallbearers were grandsons, Erik McDaniel, Grant McDaniel, Daniel Webb, Will Howard, Caleb Breland, Jacob Breland, Tyler Threadgill, Garrett Threadgill and Ethan Carter.

 Family requests memorials to be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or favorite charity.
