Services for Clarence Marshman Green will be held Thursday, July 3, 2014, at 2 p.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel.
The Rev. Mark Thompson and the Rev. Brian McDonald will be officiating. Burial will follow in Goodin Cemetery in Preston with military honors.
Mr. Green, 88, of Preston, died Sunday, June 29, 2014, at home.
He was born and reared in Preston. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He worked as a logger and farmer. Mr. Green was a member of New Covenant Assembly of God.
Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Ethel Green of Preston; daughters, Catherine Page of Clinton and Margaret McDonald of Preston; son, Bobby Green of Preston; 19 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Maude Green; sons, Willie Green, Harold Green and Paul Green; one grandson; one great-grandson; and brothers, Mitchell Green and Chalmers Green.
