Memorial services for James "Hubby" Brown were held Monday, June 9, 2014, at 11 a.m. from McClain-Hays Funeral Home Chapel.

The Rev. Randolph Scott officiated. McClain-Hays Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Brown, 69, of Philadelphia, died Wednesday, June 4, 2014, at his home.

He was a native of the Conway community in Leake County and had been a resident of Neshoba County for the past 30 years. He was a retired painter and formerly worked with the street department for the City of Philadelphia. Mr. Brown was Baptist by faith.

Survivors include his wife, Sheila Brown of Philadelphia; daughter, Susie Wilcher of Carthage; son, Clay Brown of Philadelphia; five grandchildren; and brothers, Johnny Brown of Philadelphia and Gerald Brown of Kosciusko.

Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his parents, Jimmie and Zetha Brown; and an infant sister, Carol Joyce Brown.
