Norma Lou Chisholm Sellers

Mrs. Norma Lou Chisholm Sellers passed away at home April 26, 2014, after a lengthy illness.
Norma Lou was born April 26, 1923 in Deemer, Miss. to Annie Majure Chisholm and Thomas B. Chisholm.
She spent her early childhood in the area around Philadelphia, Miss. and Lapano, Ark. Her family moved to the Central Florida area to work in the rising Citrus Industry when she was nine. She attended Winter Haven schools and in 1947 married WWII Naval Veteran Huey H. Sellers.
Norma Lou moved to Albany in 1965 when her husband and nephew Glenn Denmark began D&S Tile Distributors which later became Sellers Tile Co. She was of the Christian faith, a wonderful cook, devoted mother and loved to garden. She enjoyed watching birds and other wild creatures. She was an avid Bulldog fan, especially football.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Ruth Chisholm and Ouida Chisholm Denmark; brothers Max Chisholm and Monnette Chisholm; and her husband, Huey H. Sellers, in 2006.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory daughters Dianne Sellers, Albany, Kathy Sellers, Dawson; son Larry Sellers and wife Letty, Albany; granddaughter Llewelyn Sellers, Jefferson, Ga.; great grandson Bryce Betts, Jefferson, Ga., sisters in law Merle Chisholm, Tampa, Fla., Carolyn Dupont, Rayville, La. Also special nephew Glenn Denmark and wife Patricia, Valdosta, Ga.; numerous other well-loved nieces and nephews and a special beloved kitty of 17 years Muffin.
There will be a Celebration of Life Memorial Service at Kimbrell-Stern Funeral Directors conducted by the Rev. Tim Olds on Monday April 28, 2014, at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Kimbrell-Stern. Interment will be in Andersonville National Cemetery.
