Services for Sandy Jones Tolbert were held Monday, March 31, 2014, at 2 p. m. from First Pentecostal Church in Philadelphia with the Reverends Tim Vowell, Albert Reid, Dr. Dan Howard, Charles Fisher and Johnny Peden officiating. Burial followed in Henry's Chapel Cemetery with McClain-Hays Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Sandy Tolbert, 56, of Philadelphia, departed from this life Friday, March 28, 2014, at her residence.
Sandy was born in Pine Bluff, Ark. on Nov. 23, 1957. She graduated from Pine Bluff High School in Pine Bluff, Ark. in the year of 1976. She worked as an ophthalmologist assistant in Pine Bluff and married Stanley Tolbert on June 27, 1986. Sandy and her husband moved to Philadelphia in the year of 1987 where she opened up a local dress shop, Sandy's Casuals.
Survivors include her husband, Stanley Tolbert of Philadelphia; daughters, Sunni Carol Phillips (Nicholas) of Benton, Ark. and Cari Nicole Fisher (Justin) of Houston, Texas; son, Nathaniel Gale Tolbert (Terrie); mother, Eunice Jones, all of Philadelphia; brother, Roy L. Jones (Cindy) of Raleigh, N.C.; and grandchildren, Hadleigh Vowell, Carlee Vowell, Anson Vowell, Jamee Kate Vowell, Alek Tolbert, Paxton Phillips and Crae Fisher.
Sandy was preceded in death by her father, Roy Jones.
Pallbearers were Rodger Pittman, Shon Kirkland, Andy Kirkland, Clark Reynolds, Cyrus Ben, and Simeon Deweese. Honorary pallbearers were Larry Wilson, Wade Breazeale, Timmy Breazeale and Cassidy Byars.
