William Thomas Hegman IV, 66, passed away at his residence in the early hours of Sunday, Jan. 21, 2018.

A memorial service will be held in Holly Bluff, Miss. at the First United Methodist Church, on Saturday, Jan. 27, 2018, at 2 p.m. with Grover Greer officiating.

William began life on Aug. 29, 1951, and was raised in Holly Bluff, Miss.  He earned a Bachelor of Political Science at Mississippi State University and was a member of the ROTC.

William was a brilliant person and lived a full life including occupations as a farmer, owner/operator of a charter flight business, pilot for the Penske Racing team, transatlantic ship captain, real estate agent, and lately owner of a solar panel installation business, Mississippi Solar. He was a diligent worker and a generous man to so many.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Evans Hegman of Carthage, his two sisters Margaret H. Williams (Auvergne) of Jackson, and Cornelia H. Edgerton (Richard) of Madison, one brother Frank S. Hegman (Cathy) of Holly Bluff, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents William T. Hegman III and Dorothy C. Hegman.
