The Philadelphia Lady Tornadoes had both of their fast-pitch softball games rained out last week.

And according to Coach Jordan Flake, it was just as well.

The team came together last week with the end of basketball season. Flake said it getting a little extra preparation time wasn’t a bad thing.

“It gave our basketball girls a chance to get some extra swings, and I got extra time to work on setting up our defense,” said Flake. “I know what we did last year but we have some holes to fill in our lineup.”

Weather permitting, the Lady Tornadoes had three games scheduled for this week. They were to visit Southeast Lauderdale on Monday, Louisville on Tuesday and Pisgah on Friday
