The Choctaw Central Lady Warriors improved to 9-0 on the season as they knocked off North Forrest 2-0 in their only prep soccer match last week.

Sierra Wallace scored both goals for the Lady Warriors.

The Choctaw Central boys dropped a 6-0 decision.

The Warriors teams were to visit Philadelphia on Tuesday. They host Quitman on Thursday and will travel to Jackson to play Provine on Friday.



The Philadelphia soccer teams played three matches last week.

The Tornado teams were swept by Newton County. The Lady Tornadoes lost 11-0. Kathy Ben had four saves. Zharia Jordan had five saves. The Philadelphia boys lost 9-0 to Newton County. Tucker Abel had eight saves while Britton Phillips had four saves. Raedarius Triplett had two saves.

The Tornadoes then split a pair of games with Quitman High School. The Tornadoes won their match 3-2. Jon David Collins scored two goals and Trey Posey added the other goal. Abel had three saves and Raedarius Triplett had two.

The Philly girls lost 4-1 to Quitman. Zharia Jordan had six saves and Cameron Gray had two. Paris Hantzis scored the lone goal.

The Tornadoes then traveled to North Forrest. The boys tied 2-2. Isaac Martin and Parker Wood scored one goal each. Thomas Dyess assisted Isaac and Will wood assisted Parker. Tucker Abel had 6 saves.

The Lady Tornadoes lost 6-1, Zharia Jordan had four saves and Jasmen Young had three. Kathy Ben scored the lone goal.

The Tornadoes will be busy this week. They were to host Choctaw Central in a district game on Tuesday. They host Meridian High on Thursday and the Clarkdale JV on Friday. The Tornadoes will play Perry Central Saturday at Wayne County High School.
