The Neshoba Central Lady Rockets improved to 18-2 last week but Head Coach Trae Embry is not making comparisons with this team and last year's team that won the Class 5-A state championship.

"I would say this team is more mature as compared to last year's team," Embry said. "We have been together another season. But you can't compare the two teams.

"We play them one game at a time and that's where our focus is. We are only thinking about our next game and the season will take care of itself."

Last week, the Lady Rockets rolled over Clinton 13-1 and region foe Ridgeland 16-0. This week, Neshoba Central is set to take on Madison Central on Monday and Nanih Waiya on Tuesday. They visit Newton County on Thursday and host Northeast Lauderdale on Friday.
