The Philadelphia 12-year-old all-star team placed second in the district tournament which was held last weekend, and has advanced to the state tournament in Kosciusko this weekend.

Philadelphia hosted the district tournament this past weekend.

Philadelphia won their opener against Jackson Grove Boys Club 8-6 on Friday night.

On Saturday, they dropped a 9-1 decision to Carthage.

They came back to beat Jackson again and that put them in the championship game on Sunday.

They battled Carthage hard but lost a 12-11 decision and finished second in the tournament.

They will play Pascagoula Friday at 5 p.m.

Players and coaches on the team are Will Martin, Mark Hunt, Griffin Gentry, Boogie Bingham, Jamie Cook, Dylan Sanderson, Jordan Hill, Coach Lee Phillips, Aaron Phillips, Eli Anderson, Bryce Parkerson, Hunter Barron, Gavin Cumberland, Coach Jason Gentry and Coach Ken Barron.
