Former Neshoba Central High School graduate and East Mississippi Community College cheerleader Kate Timmons has signed a cheer scholarship to attend the University of South Alabama.
Former Neshoba Central High School graduate and East Mississippi Community College cheerleader Kate Timmons has signed a cheer scholarship to attend the University of South Alabama.
Former Neshoba Central High School student Kate Timmons has earned a cheerleading scholarship to attend the University of South Alabama in Mobile following her two years as a cheerleader here at East Mississippi Community College.

The daughter of Vickey Timmons of Philadelphia, Kate graduated from Neshoba Central High School in 2012.

During her high school days, Kate was a four-year letterman in tennis while cheering during her freshman and sophomore seasons and running cross country as a junior and senior.

Along with serving as a sophomore co-captain for head cheer coach Amy Harris' EMCC cheerleading team this past season, Kate was part of East Mississippi's Homecoming Court during each of her two years on the Scooba campus.

She also served as an EMCC Ambassador in addition to being a member of the Phi Theta Kappa honor society as well as EMCC's Student Government Association.
