A growing number of business and political leaders say they support considering more than one option to finance construction of a new county hospital. Are you for:

Please select one:
A single public financing option
Including a private-sector option
Selling it!

Cloris Leachman to star in 'Bonnie and Clyde' film

Actress Cloris Leachman, who recently appeared on "Dancing with the Stars," has signed on to star in the new feature film The Story of Bonnie and Clyde, parts of which will be shot in Philadelphia and Neshoba County.  Leachman is set to appear in the film opposite veteran actor Rance Howard  (Frost/Nixon, Psycho) as the parents of Clyde Barrow.

Hilary Duff and Kevin Zegers have signed on to star as Bonnie and Clyde.

Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow were two of the most renowned young fugitives in history. The Story of Bonnie and Clyde, a new adaptation (not a remake) of the classic love story was written by Tonya S. Holly (When I Find The Ocean) of Cypress Moon Studios who will also direct the film.

Holly wrote the film based on her early fascination with the Depression era lovers turned fugitives.

"I have lived with The Story of Bonnie and Clyde in my mind for years," said Holly who first became intrigued with them after she found old newspapers containing articles about the couple in an abandoned house on her parents property. The Story of Bonnie and Clyde is extremely character driven and full of many surprises that have never been seen before on the big screen.

"I am thrilled to have Cloris Leachman attached to the film," Holly said. "She is a phenomenal talent and I look forward to working with her."

Actor Richard Tyson, who played a leading role in the 1990 movie "Kindergarten Cop," will play Deputy Ted Hinton in the film.

Scenes will be shot in downtown Philadelphia, including the Arts Council Theater.

Scenes will also be shot at a vacant store off Mississippi 16 east; near a barn in the Shady Grove community as well as at Sciple's Mills and on a nearby dirt road in Kemper County, Holly said.

The scene in the film featuring the ambush in Dexfield Park will be shot at Burnside Lake Park and will require between 200 and 300 extras.

The Stringtown Dance Hall scene will be shot in the vicinity of a big white barn on the Dorothy Dixon property off Road 729.

Several of the waterfall scenes in the film will be shot at Sciple's Mill while the final ambush scene will be shot on a nearby dirt road.

Other parts of the film will be shot in Louisiana, Alabama and Natchez.

Wonder if she has flashbacks from thirty years later. Cloris is 83. Clyde died at 25.
A more age appropriate actress would be Faye Dunaway who's only 68. (Actually she's a little old for the part too.)
