INCIDENT REPORTS

• A resident in the 200 block of Lewis Avenue reported that someone had entered her house through the bathroom window and her son's Playstation 2, Playstation 3, a laptop computer and some change in a wooden box were stolen. Investigators were called to the scene and fingerprints were lifted for evidence. 

• A resident of Weyerhaeuser Avenue reported that someone broke into two vehicles that he was repairing. The hoods of the vehicles were popped open and the batteries were stolen out of them. The case was turned over to investigators.

• A resident in the 15000 block of Road 602 reported that he was driving on north Pecan Avenue in front of the stock yard when a vehicle that was riding his bumper passed him and slung rocks that hit the hood and chipped the paint on his 2002 Pontiac Formula. He said the vehicle that caused the damage was a gray four-door car with the tag number NEJ297.

• A resident in the 10000 block of Road 765 filed a hit and run report after she noticed damage to the front bumper of her black, four-door, 2008 BMW. She said she has driven the vehicle several times but did not notice the damage until two weeks ago. No other vehicle was reported to be involved at the time.

• A resident in the 300 block of Martin Luther King Drive reported a Lucas .25 caliber handgun stolen from her car in front of her trailer.

• A Carthage resident reported that her vehicle was struck on the right rear bumper while she was shopping at Vowell's on Main Street. No cameras are available in the parking lot and no one witnessed the accident to the complainants knowledge.

• A resident in the 1000 block of Kosciusko Road reported that her purse which contained a prescription of 51 tablets of Oxycodone valued at $173.00, a digital camera worth $450, and her driver's license was stolen after she forgot it on top of her car and it slid onto the ground when she drove away. She also reported that as she turned the car around to get her purse, three white males grabbed it and ran into the woods.

• A resident of Madison reported that a tall, thin, clear glass vase with artificial flowers and a ten-inch green vase were stolen from his mother's house. He said that he was the caretaker of the house and that no one is allowed into the house unless they are accompanied by him.

• A resident in the 500 block of State Avenue reported a lawnmower and a five-gallon gas can stolen from her front porch. She stated that it was a green and yellow lawnmower from Wal-Mart but did not know what brand it was. 

• A resident in the 40 block of Knight Street reported that a vehicle had run through her yard leaving several ruts and damaging a bush. A fire hydrant was also damaged.

• A resident in the 10000 block of Highway 16 East reported that he was opening the door to his car in the parking lot of Carlee's when a dark-colored vehicle hit his vehicle on the right side and drove off. A witness standing by wrote down the tag number to the vehicle.

• A resident in the 400 block of Austin Street reported that someone took her weed-eater from her garage. She stated that all of her family knows the code to open the garage and that her grandson said he had the weed-eater but has still not brought it back. The weed-eater is a Husqvarna Model #M124C Serial #08150N300046.

• An employee of Stop and Shop reported that a man pulled up to a pump and pumped $10 in gas and left without paying  for it. The man was in a blue full-sized pickup truck with bed rails on the back.

• A resident in the 400 block of Austin Street reported that her son's rims and tires were stolen from her utility room. She advised officers that only three rims and tires were in the utility closet, and the fourth were located in the house. An investigator was called to the scene to get a photo of the rim that remained in the house. 

• A resident in the 600 block of Christine Street reported a gun that was missing from her home. She said the last time she saw the pistol was in April. The gun, a Jimenez Arms 9mm, was purchased from McKee's Gun and Pawn. 

• A resident in the 10000 block of Road 375 reported that someone broke out her back door window and unlocked the door by hand. She said that they then took a green 1996 Honda 400 four-wheeler. The ATV had a white tank on the back for spraying grass.

• A Union resident reported that while she was watching her grandson's baseball game at Northside Park, someone leaned on her mirror and broke it off. A witness to the incident told her that there were a lot of people near her vehicle and the person responsible got in their vehicle and left the area. He stated that it was a white Chevrolet Malibu driven by a black female with a child passenger. A tag number was given but came back to a Chevrolet pickup truck.
