For the fifth straight year, The National Golf Association's Hooters Professional Golf Tour, presented by Hooters of America and Naturally Fresh Foods, comes to the Pearl River Resort for the Silver Star Hotel & Casino Golf Classic presented by Michelob Ultra.
A portion of the proceeds from the Silver Star Hotel & Casino Golf Classic, now through Sunday, will go to benefit the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians Boys & Girls Club.
"We are excited to once again bring the Hooters Tour back to Pearl River Resort," said NGA/Hooters Tour President Robin L. Waters. "The players love all aspects of this tournament from the world class golf facility, the two exciting casinos and the numerous volunteers that make the event a success each year.
The Azaleas Course boasts immaculately manicured Mississippi Choice Bermuda tees, Tifway II Bermuda fairways and A4 Bentgrass greens. The Azaleas has received numerous awards and accolades including spots on Golf Magazine's Top 100 You Can Play list and Golf & Travel's Top 100 Modern Courses, as well as Golf Digest's Top 10 New Upscale Public Golf Courses ranking.
Monday kicked off the opening qualifying round for anyone interested in trying to qualify for the tour.
