Services for Billy T. Thompson, Sr. were held Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2009 at 11 a.m. from the chapel of McClain-Hays Funeral Home.
The Rev. Jack Foster and the Rev. Bragston Miley officiated. Burial followed in Neshoba Cemetery.
Mr. Thompson, 61, died Saturday, Nov. 14, 2009 in Laird Hospital.
He was a native of Neshoba County and a long time resident of the Neshoba community. He was a retired truck driver and a member of Victory Fellowship Church. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict.
He was preceded in death by his father, Sidney Thompson Sr., a half brother and a granddaughter.
Survivors are a son, Billy Thompson, II of Union; three daughters, Lynn Adcox and Beth Thompson, both of Morton, and Peggy Williamson of Walnut Grove; six grandchildren; his mother, Hazel Foster of Union; and four brothers, Joe Thompson of Germantown, Tenn., Mike Thompson and Jerry Thompson, both of Union, and Sidney Thompson of Little Rock, Ark.
Pallbearers were Ray Coats, Jessie Long, Josh Long, Jeff Long, Marty Long and Danny Long.
