Eleven vie for Miss Neshoba County title

Eleven girls will take the stage Monday night at the Fairgrounds as they compete for the 2009 Miss Neshoba County title.

Set to a 1980s theme, the contestants will kick off the opening number with a variety of classic 80s songs as they dress in attire shadowing icons such as Madonna and Cyndi Lauper.

"This year's theme is very upbeat and should be enjoyed by a multitude of people," said Brandy Stokes, pageant director.

Contestants will again be judged this year on poise and appearance in evening gown, Fairwear, line judging and a prior interview with the judges along with on-stage questions for the top five finalists. Awards will also be presented for Most Photogenic and Miss Congeniality.
