Authorities have arrested seven individuals on drug charges while searching for a man who is remains at large.

The Neshoba County Sheriff’s Office is looking for Tyrecus Hunter, 35, who is wanted on a warrant from the Mississippi Department of Corrections for parole violation.

Neshoba County Sheriff Eric Clark said his office suspects Hunter is involved in drug activity in Neshoba County. His office has made seven arrests while attempting to track Hunter down.

Six of the arrests came on Sept. 17, around 11:30 a.m., when narcotics intervention officers with the NCSO and MDOC agents went to a residence at 10871 Road 573 in the Burnside community.

Clark said they had gotten several complaints regarding suspicious activity at the residence and believed Hunter may have been staying there.

Clark said they knocked on the door for some time without an answer before two vehicles pulled into the driveway.

The drivers have been identified as Corey Rayburn and Jeremy Gentry, who were subsequently questioned and had their vehicles searched.

A search of Gentry’s Buick revealed a variety of drug paraphernalia, including syringes and a glass pipe. Deputies found more drug paraphernalia and a small amount of marijuana in Rayburn’s Chevrolet.

Clark said while some deputies were talking to the two men, Sandy and Madison Tullos exited the residence. Sandy Tullos, who had an active warrant for failure to appear in court, gave officers permission to search the property.

Deputies found more drug paraphernalia and a felony amount of methamphetamine inside the dwelling. Clark said while officers searched the dwelling, Austin Boswell and Tonya Ben arrived at the house and were also found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia.

Arrested in the incident on the morning of Sept. 17 were:

• Sandi Tullos, 53, 10871 Road 573, charged with child neglect, possession of a controlled substance and possession of paraphernalia. She also had a warrant for failure to appear in court.

• Madison Tullos, 24, 10873 Road 573, was arrested and charged with child neglect and possession of paraphernalia.

• Corey Rayborn, 36, 1232 Road 325, was arrested and charged with possession of paraphernalia.

• Austin Boswell, 32, 11391 Road 418, Union, was arrested and charged with possession of paraphernalia.

• Tonya Ben, 41, 205 Rolling Hills Road, was arrested and charged with possession of paraphernalia.

Clark said several small children, all of whom were Madison Tullos’s children, were present at the time of the arrest.

He said Child Protective Services was called and helped remove the children from the house where drugs were present.

On Sept. 20, deputies made another arrest around 11 a.m. while searching for Hunter at 11661 Road 383.

At the residence, they found a nightstand with a felony amount of crystal meth and drug paraphernalia that included a bloody syringe loaded with drugs.

Jasper Mitchell Savell, 30, of 10800 Highway 16 West, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of paraphernalia as a result of the search.

Authorities are still searching for Tyrecus Hunter, according to Clark.
