Alabama pair arrested by deputies for multiple drugs
Two Alabama men have been arrested and charged with possessing marijuana, ecstasy, cocaine, and crystal methamphetamine here.
Neshoba County Sheriff Eric Clark identified the two men as Brandon Lane Boggs and Charles Matthew Gilbreath.
Boggs, 43, 285 Sherwood Boulevard, Fyffe, Ala., was arrested and charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana in a vehicle, according to Clark.
Gilbreath, 40, 1888 County Road 58, Geraldine, Ala., was arrested and charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana in a vehicle, Clark said.
Neshoba County Sheriff’s deputies encountered the two men when Boggs’s vehicle slowly rolled through a safety checkpoint without stopping.
Deputies reported the smell of burning marijuana and beer when they approached the vehicle.
The men told the deputies they had been smoking marijuana in the vehicle.
A search revealed felony amounts of cocaine, ecstasy pills, and meth in the center console as well as an extinguished marijuana cigarette on the floorboard. Gilbreath also had ecstasy pills on him, Clark said.
