Barbara Ann Howard

Funeral services for Barbara Ann Howard were held Saturday, November 23, 2024 at 11 a.m. from Holy Cross Catholic Church with Father Jofin George officiating.  Burial followed in Cedarlawn Cemetery. McClain-Hays Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Bobbie was born on September 15, 1943, in Philadelphia and spent her formative years there. She received her diploma from Sacred Heart Academy in Louisville, KY and her BA from Miami University, followed by a postgraduate degree from Stanford University.

Bobbie’s passion for history and education led her to a 19-year teaching career at Iroquois High School. After retiring from teaching, Bobbie had a second career as an event planner at the Kentucky Derby Museum.

Survivors include sister, Dale Roggenkamp (James) of Anchorage, KY;  niece, Robin Roggenkamp of Louisville, KY; nephew, David Roggenkamp (Cindy) of San Francisco, CA; five great nieces and nephews; and a host of cousins, other family and friends.
