Bordeaux elected to GOP role
The Rules Committee of the Republican National Committee elected Mississippi RNC Committeeman Frank Bordeaux of Gulfport by unanimous vote as the new Chairman of the RNC’s Rules Committee recently.
The RNC’s Standing Committee on Rules is one of the permanent committees of the Republican National Committee, entrusted and empowered to review and propose rules that govern the internal workings of the Republican National Committee and the party's presidential nomination process.
Bordeaux assumes the role of Rules Committee Chairman from California RNC Committeewoman Harmeet Dhillon, who was recently nominated by President-elect Donald J. Trump to serve as the Assistant Attorney General for the Civil Rights Division of the U.S. Department of Justice.
In his role as Chairman of the RNC’s Rules Committee, Bordeaux will also serve as a member of the RNC’s Executive Committee, which exercises all of the executive and administrative functions of the Republican National Committee between meetings of the Republican National Committee.
“This is an incredible honor for Frank and a huge benefit to Mississippi, as our state will have a front row seat and a strong voice in making the Republican Party even better,” said Mike Hurst, Chairman of the Mississippi Republican Party. “Today’s nomination and vote illustrates the immense respect and enduring trust that members of the RNC and RNC Chairman Michael Whatley have for Frank, and Frank will do an outstanding job in this role.”
