Neshoba County residents are being urged to use caution when traveling today.

“The roads, especially in the south part of the county, are wet and trashed with leaves and debris from last night’s storm,” according to Neshoba County Sheriff Eric Clark.

Highways 21 South, Highway 485, Highway 15 South, and every county road in between seem to be the most impacted area, Clark said. And unfortunately, this will probably progress with more severe weather expected today, he said.

“Please travel at a slower rate and if you see road crews out working please use extreme caution. Also be weather alert today as we have another round of storms entering the area!” Clark said.

Due to the severe weather, Neshoba County, Philadelphia Public, and Tribal Schools are closed today.
