Celia Stokes

A Celebration of Life for Celia Stokes was held at Pine Grove Baptist Church in Union, MS on Friday, April 12, 2024 at 1 p.m. Burial followed in Pine Grove Cemetery. McClain-Hays Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Stokes, 87, of Union, MS passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2024.

Celia lived a full life filled with her dedication to her family and soaking up time with them and her Boston Terrier of 9 years, Toby. She had a passion for cooking and baking and her homemade dishes were always the highlight of family gatherings.

She is reunited with her father and mother, Cortez and Jewel Elliott; husband, Buddy Stokes; children, Raymond Phillips and Alta Robin Stokes; and granddaughter, Dana Hayes.

She is survived by her children, Sheila Stokes, Tonia Coker (Victor), Tina Miles (Scott) and Aaron Stokes; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren; brother, Gerald Elliott (Joyce).
