Choctaw Central squads end season in semifinals

The Choctaw Central Warriors and Lady Warriors basketball teams made a valiant run for their respective state championships but ultimately came up short in the semifinals last week.
The Lady Warriors went into halftime up 24-23 and added a point to their lead after the third quarter.
The Lady Panthers went on a 19-10 run in the last quarter to head into the championship game, defeating the Warriors 47-40.
The Warriors ultimately lost to the Raymond Rangers in the semfinals 66-53.
The first half was a close contest between the two teams, and at halftime the game was tied 31-31. Raymond pulled away in the third quarter, besting the Warriors in scoring 23-11 and the deficit proved too large to overcome.
