HARDY recognized in Congress
After local country music star Michael Hardy, known professionally as HARDY, signed a guitar for a benefit supporting kids with cancer two years ago, Congressman Michael Guest and Law Enforcement Coordinator Jimmie Nichols, Jr. decided to honor him recently by recognizing his success and accomplishments in the Congressional Record.
The flag presented to HARDY’s father, Mike Hardy, was flown over the U.S. Capitol in tribute to HARDY’s achievements in the music industry.
“It’s awesome,” Mike Hardy said. “On behalf of him and our family, we’re honored and never dreamed he would receive such an honor, with a record in the Library of Congress and our nation’s flag flown over our Capitol in his honor. He’s been very blessed! We hope he continues to love what he does and be an ambassador for Philadelphia, Neshoba County, and the great state of Mississippi.”
