Funeral services for Mr. Herman Young Sr. were held at 11 AM Monday, August 26, 2024, at John E. Stephens Chapel with Rev. Barry Fulton officiating. Interment was in the Pentecostal of House Cemetery. Visitation was 1 PM - 4 PM Sunday, August 25, 2024, at John E. Stephens Chapel.

Mr. Herman Young Sr., 78, passed away Monday, August 19, 2024, at Anderson Hospital in Meridian, Ms. He lived most of his life in Chicago, IL and was Pentecostal by Faith. His hobbies were fishing and listening to the Blues.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jerry B. and Reoda Wiseman Young; son, Larry Mingo, and numerous siblings.

Survivors include his daughters, Nicolette Mingo, Brandi Mingo both of Philadelphia, Michelle Banks of IL, Lisa Logan of Philadelphia; sons, Herman Young Jr. of Philadelphia, Otis Mingo of IL; (29) grandchildren; (16) great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
