The Lady Rockets will play tomorrow for the 6A State Basketball Championship after besting Hancock 48-30 in the semifinals last night. 

The Lady Rockets will play at 2 p.m. tomorrow at the Mississippi Coliseum against Terry for the title. 

Yesterday’s matchup started close, with the teams tied t 9 to end the first quarter. The Lady Rockets were able to put together a 7-point lead at halftime and really opened the floodgates in the second half, outscoring Hancock 27-16. 

Senior guard Zharia Leflore led the team in scoring with 12 points. Senior Atyia Allen had 10 points in the contest.

The Lady Rockets, 31-1 on the season, have been absolutely devastating opponents in the playoffs, outscoring opponents 192-123.

The Terry Lady Bulldogs, 25-6 on the season, are coming off a 46-37 semifinal win over South Panola. 

Both the Choctaw Central boys and girls squads were eliminated from action yesterday after excellent seasons. 

The Warriors were bested by Raymond 66-53 and the Lady Warriors fell to Morton 47-40.
