The Union Lady Yellowjackets got in three games last week, taking just one game.

Union lost 11-1 to defending 4A state champion West Lauderdale but rebounded to beat Russell Christian 11-0. Union then finished the week with a 7-0 loss to Harrison Central. 

Union hosted Clarkdale on Tuesday and return the trip on Friday. Union will in the Newton County Tournament on Friday and Saturday. They play Enterprise on Friday at 5 p.m. and Florence on Saturday at 4 p.m.

West Lauderdale 11, 

Union 1

Alanee Wheeler started in the circle and pitched 3 1/3 innings, giving up eight runs on five hits and two walks while striking out four. Aubrie Coleman pitched 1 1/3 innings and gave up three runs on three hits and two walks. 

Union 11, 

Russell Christian 0

Union had a pair of five-run innings and banged out eight hits. Lauryn Roebuck was 2-for-3 with a triple, two runs scored and three RBIs while Tiara Campbell was 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs. Lacee Bishop was 2-for-2 with two runs scored while Abigail Cleveland and Alanee Wheeler each singled and drove in two runs. Destiny Moulds scored two runs while Maggie Davis had two RBIs. 

Cleveland started in the circle and pitched five innings to get the win. She didn’t allow a hit and walked two batters while striking out seven. 

Harrison Central 7, Union 0

The Red Rebelettes finished strong to take a shutout win over the Lady Yellowjackets on Saturday. 

Harrison scored one in the third, four in the fifth and two in the sixth. 

Union managed just three hits in a shutout lost. Lauryn Roebuck, Destiny Moulds and Elle Killen each singled for Union. 

Alanee Wheeler started in the circle and gave up seven runs, only three earned, on 10 hits and a walk while striking out eight.
