Mary Katherine Akins Sullivan

Funeral services for Mary Katherine Akins Sullivan were held Sunday, April 14, 2024 at 3 p.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Bro. Dennis Duvall officiating. Burial followed in Burnside Baptist Church Cemetery. McClain-Hays Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Sullivan,81, of Philadelphia died Thursday, April 11, 2024.

Mary was born and raised in Neshoba County and a longtime resident of the Burnside Community and had attended Longino Community School. Mrs. Sullivan was a faithful member of Burnside Baptist Church for many years and most recently attended Kingdom Hall.

Survivors include her husband, Tommy Lee Sullivan, Sr.; sons, Tommy Lee Sullivan, Jr. (Sarah) and Dennis Sullivan (LeAnn); eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and their families.

Mrs. Sullivan was preceded in death by parents, Wade and Mary Akins; daughter, Alesia (Lisa) Channell; sisters, Clara Johnson, Sarah Peebles and Ilene McGee; brothers, Dub, Joe, Carol and Perry Akins.
