Crash at House injures 1 person

A two-vehicle wreck on Highway 19 South at House sent one person to the hospital early Sunday evening, according to the Mississippi Highway Patrol.

The wreck was reported at 5:23 p.m. at Highway 492, according to MHP Trooper Jameka Moore.

A 2014 Audi A7 was traveling northbound on Highway 19 while a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado was eastbound on Highway 492, Moore said. 

“The two vehicles collided at the intersection of Highway 19 and 492,” Moore said. 

The driver of the Audi was transported to Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian with moderate injuries and the driver of the Chevrolet Silverado was not injured, according to Moore.

Neshoba County Sheriff Eric Clark said MDOT was on the scene after the wreck replacing road signs that were damaged.
