A Neshoba County woman was arrested and charged in connection with a burglary near the Pearl River community last week.

The woman, Jennifer Roberts, 44, of 10150 Road 2608, was arrested and charged with burglary of a dwelling, according to Neshoba County Sheriff Eric Clark.

Clark said they received at about 10 a.m. on Dec. 29 reporting a home on Road 2608 had been broken into. Clark said documents, a gold ring, and a locked fireproof box were reported stolen.

Family members of the victim quickly identified Roberts as a suspect and she was tracked to a residence on Highway 16 East where she was served a warrant for burglary at about 4 p.m. that same day.

Clark said all items reported stolen except for the title to a vehicle and the gold ring have been recovered as of Tuesday.

Roberts remains in the Neshoba County Jail. Clark said she has not been cooperative with the investigation.

Clark said Roberts is not related to the victim.
