PAID POLITICAL AD/Obie Riley seeks re-election as District 5 Supervisors

Posted

My name is Obbie Riley, and I am announcing my candidacy for Neshoba County Supervisor, District 5. I have had the honor to represent District 5 for the past four terms.

I am a lifelong resident of the Longdale Community, a servant leader at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, and a 1980 graduate of Neshoba Central High School.

Following high school, I served in the United States Coast Guard for 22 years, achieving the rank of Chief Petty Officer.

My wife, Julia Riley, is a local pediatrician, and together we share 5 children and 8 grandchildren. My parents were Mr. Luther and Mrs. Burline Riley, and I am forever grateful for their guiding role in my life.

As supervisor over these past several years, I am proud to be part of improving roads and bridges within the constraints of our budget, improving the Coliseum with new flooring, the construction of our current hospital, helping to guide the county through the very recent COVID pandemic, as well as responding to natural disasters such as tornadoes.

If elected, I will continue to serve the people of District 5 to the best of my ability. I intend to work to improve infrastructure of roads and broadband. These improvements will be vital in attracting more quality jobs, careers and businesses in Neshoba County.
